Industry Model Agreements

For more than four years, the TIA Contract Committee, made up of P3 brokers, carrier and freight forwarders, has developed key model contracts.

In 2004, the TIA Contract Committee and the NITLeague Committee presented a Model Shipper/3PL Agreement to the TIA and NITLeague Board of Directors. Both boards
approved the contract. The Shipper/3PL Agreement is designed to be used as written or may be amended by the parties. To view the Shipper/3PL Agreement click here.

The TIA Contract Committee, made of an equal number of brokers and carriers, took on the task of creating a Model Broker/Carrier Agreement in 2005. In 2006, the TIA Board of
Directors approved the model agreement, which comports with the Model Shipper/3PL Agreement. To view the TIA Broker/Carrier Agreement click here.

NITLeague and TIA, collectively, put together a Shipper Broker Intermodal Transportation Agreement in 2005.
This agreement works with the Shipper/3PL Agreement and is available  by clicking here.

In April 2007, after more than a year of drafting, the TIA Contract Committee handed the TIA Board of Directors a Model Co-Broker Agreement.
