The Platinum Performance Program (P³) is a contractual best practices agreement for property brokers, freight forwarders, motor carriers and freight bill audit/payment companies who desire to achieve a higher level of customer service and operating performance.

 

P³ is a program developed by the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA), in 2002, for its member brokers and forwarders as well as freight bill audit/payment and trucking companies wishing to conduct business using common terms and conditions.

 

P³ brings a new level of trust and performance to the broker/forwarder-motor carrier relationship. The result will be reduced costs, increased profits and improved performance.

TIA Announces Guaranteed Payment Program

At the TIA Convention in April 2007, TIA announced a plan to forever change the brokerage-based third party logistics industry in TIA members' favor through the TIA Guaranteed Payment Program (GPP).  Through GPP, TIA members will take any debate over the broker bond and turn it into a competitive advantage in the marketplace.  Through GPP, TIA will guarantee participants payments up to $100,000.

Board Meeting

In April 2007, the P³ Board of Governors met for their bi-annual meeting. The Board agreed that P³ members are an elite group of 3PLs and carriers who need to maintain that reputation. In order to increase P³ member’s status in the industry, the Board agreed to the make changes to eligibility requirements for applicants and the review process for current members.
